Wadzanai Mhute is a multimedia producer, reporter and author currently working at The New York Times.

She holds a masters degree  from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and worked at ABC News Radio, Business Insider, Philadelphia Weekly and the Philadelphia City Paper.

Her short stories have been published in “Journeys Home: An anthology of contemporary African Diasporic experience” (Africa World Press, 2009), “One World: A global anthology of short stories” (New Internationalist, 2009) and “Women Writing Zimbabwe” (Weaver Press, 2008) as well as several publications including Per Contra, The Warwick Review and Farafina.
